IMC Fire's Managing Director Ian Copstick has many years experience within the Fire and Rescue Service. Our staff have over a combined 100 years of operational and senior managerial experience within Local Authority Fire and Rescue Services. All staff have attended the Fire Service Technical Collage for specialist training in Fire Safety, Incident command, Hazardous Materials and Environmental Protection and Breathing Apparatus courses. Other Specialist courses include attendance at the Cabinet Office Emergency Planning College for Strategic Crisis Management and Media through to Gold Command for Senior Management for UK Fire & Rescue Services.
Our teams past roles include:- Silver Commander for Conventional , Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CCBRN) incidents, Head of Brigade Training Centre, Head of HR and Corporate Resources and Operational Area Command. We have experience of working at National level, as working group members for Integrated Risk Management Planning (IRMP) Steering group on Wildfire including Moorland Firefighting and the Chief Fire Officers association (CFOA) National Helicopter Support working Group. Our team are all NEBOSH and IOSH qualified to distinction level and are all practitioners in Health and Safety.
All staff have past experience as Senior Examiners for the East Midlands Region (Central Fire Brigades Examination Board).
IMC Fire Consultancy has provided on site International lecturing for the Institute of Fire Engineers South Africa, whilst teaching graduate students attending Johannesburg University. Every member of our fire safety team has a minimum qualification of GIFireE (Graduate of the Institute of Fire Engineers), they also have many years practical experiences as ex fire safety officers who have carried out enforcement and inspecting roles for their individual Brigades.
